Do you believe in extraterrestrial life? I do, indeed. UFO is an abbreviation for unidentified flying object. The term is commonly used to describe a spaceship from another planet. Alien is commonly used to refer to alien life from another planet (Hey & Holloway, 2015).
The purpose of World UFO Day is to promote awareness of the existence of unidentified flying objects, or UFOs. This day aims to encourage governments all over the world to declassify any UFO-related information they may have. This day also seeks to raise the subject of whether intelligent life exists beyond Earth.
On the National Day Calendar, it is observed on two separate dates: June 24 and July 2. The date of June 24 commemorates aviator Kenneth Arnold’s first widely recorded UFO experience in 1947. The date of July 2 remembers an incident that occurred the same year in Roswell, New Mexico.
Observe the sky to see if you can identify an Unidentified Flying Object. Explore videos and images of strange sky objects to see if you can uncover a scientific explanation for them. Watch an out-of-this-world film. Perhaps eat at an alien-themed eatery. Visit one of the many UFO museums, particularly in Rosewell, New Mexico.
